Gamepad Vibration Actuator Diagnostic

Trigger independent high-frequency (weak) and low-frequency (strong) haptic feedback motors to check rumble functionality.

Custom Vibration Intensity

5-Second Controller Latency & Polling Benchmark

Measures your controller's polling frequency over a 5-second sampling period. Rapidly wiggle both sticks or press buttons during the test for peak accuracy.

Polling Rate Reference Standards:
  • 1000 Hz (~1.0 ms): Overclocked DualShock 4 / DualSense, pro esports wireless.

3

Test every button

Every button lights up as you press it. If a button doesn't light up, it may be stuck or broken.

4

Rotate the joysticks

Spin both sticks in full circles, then let go. If a stick stays off-center, it has stick drift.

5

Run the vibration test

Trigger a quick shake or loop vibration to make sure the rumble motors work.

Testing Joy-Con Drift & Switch Pro Controllers

Joy-Con stick drift is very common because the small sensor parts inside can wear down quickly. gamepad-tester.tech lets you test individual Joy-Cons (Left or Right) or the Switch Pro Controller directly on your computer or phone.

How to Connect Switch Controllers to PC or Mac

  • Switch Pro Controller: Plug it in with a USB-C cable, or hold the small round Sync button near the charging port until the green lights chase back and forth to pair over Bluetooth.
  • Individual Joy-Cons: Press and hold the small Sync button on the inner rail (between the SL and SR buttons) until the green lights flash, then pair via Bluetooth in your computer's settings.
